A Rather Blustery Day

All day I was eager to check out the beach to see if anything fun washed up in result of the storm. As soon as the rain settled I grabbed my bucket, camera and keys and left for the beach. Dozens of windsurfers and kitesurfers glided between the causeway bridges and the barrier islands. It was 4 pm, 60 degrees and the shells were sparse. Unfortunately low tide was at 2 am today. I quickly ditched my hopes of finding treasures and focused on steadying myself against the wind to take photos. The wind was relentless, the sand felt like needles against the back of my legs. Feathers and leaves danced down the shoreline. Finally a day of winter in Florida.
